Build 18 just went live on the site and contains the following changes:

* Game now records level title and description sepeartely to the DB. It formerly only resided in the XML.
* Game now records upvote/downvote trends to the database under each user account. Will allow tracking for negative-nancies and perhaps vote-weighting later.
* Reworked some back-end stuff for the level browser.
* Level numbers changed to actually represent levels 1-12 (next page not functional yet)
* Save level menu no longer overlaps controls
* Limited level title to 64 characters; description to 256
* Added a basic "userview" to the level browser
* DB now records all levels you have loaded (this is in addition to levels you've beaten, and levels you've voted on)
* Level browser now hides non-public levels (all levels saved prior to build 17 are public)
* Level browser now has some basic user-stats and browsable lists of beaten levels and user made levels.
* Fixed a bug where players were taking damage from elements. You won't take damage from Metal now, which will probably change in the future.
* Made joints twice as unlikely to break.
* Menus now animate open!

Because things like unique level plays haven't been recorded until now, but unique wins have, some people will have 1 unique play on file but 33 unique wins - giving them win ratios of 3300%. Not sure if I'll wipe the stats at some point or not, but at least it's functional from now on. I think I might wipe all the stats once we settle on a gameplay mechanic, as it will largely make the old stats irrelevant.

Um, is there a reason why the gravity changer doesn't work? Also, another problem. You can still control the game while typing something in, like when you're logging in.

Yeah the control-while-logging-in-thing is on the bug list. Just hit ESC to go to the main menu before typing - you won't lose your place.

Also, the gravity thing *does* work. :/ Dunno how you're using it?

before we could use 0 and 9 to change gravity, and now we cant

@weasel: Well, I set the gravity to light or something, and then I push Test. The gravity just acts normally. I'm playing on a Windows Vista, if that helps.

Ah - gravity does get set but it doesn't work on the test screen until you save. I'll put that into the next build. Until then, just save with the gravity you want then you can test when you go ?editId=xxx

Problem: Whenever you touch a piece, element or bond, the game will register it as a loss.

That was a bug with the "round aluminum" parts that I recently fixed.
