View Full Version : Idea Proposal: Level Editor Dynamite

There's never been an intention to have unlimited dynamite flying out of your character - it's currently just a placeholder to see how things play out.

I was hoping to open up a discussion on how dynamite should work, or if it should be in the game at all.

My favorite idea so far:
* Boxes of TNT are placed in the level editor; they contain a low number of sticks (~3-5)
* Detonators are placed in the level editor as single units; they can each detonate a single stick of TNT
* The level creator can then choose if the user can use dynamite in his level - and if so, when
* The level creator can then control if the dynamite will be used explosively, or just used as throwable items to trigger physics events
* It can add a layer of strategy, if boxes of dynamite are placed in hard-to-get places that might produce a harder level if obtained

Maybe you could limit the amount of dynomite you could use in the level.
